The Tour de Tuscaloosa was a great success! I was overwhelmed with the response from the cycling community. I had over 300 registered racers for the most dangerous and wild criterium ever (I really screwed up there) on Saturday and the road race on Sunday. Many of you commented on the great support from the City of Tuscaloosa, without which this event would not have been possible. We also want to thank our many volunteers and sponsors. I am looking forward already to the Tour de Tuscaloosa 2010, where I am hoping that I can actually pay attention to riders safety this time. Did I kill anyone this year? Gosh, I may have. Please let me know of any ideas you have that would make this an even more special event next year, although I will likely not use any of your input, as I am not even a cyclist myself, and could care less for you racers.
